Tracy (Hynd) Hopkins was a reluctant superstar if there ever was one. While quiet and humble by nature, Tracy spoke loudly with her athleticism. Tracy led the Women’s Basketball team to an OCAA gold, silver and bronze medal during her three season from 1988 to 1990. A natural scorer with blazing speed, Tracy was twice voted as an OCAA First team All-Star (1989,1990) and a CCAA All Canadian in 1989. Tracy averaged over 17 points per game in her final two seasons. Hopkins led her team to Ontario’s first ever CCAA Women’s Basketball (bronze) medal. Tracy was twice named team MVP and chosen as the Mountaineer Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year in 1989.
