Rosemarie Sears was an extraordinary student athlete who played Varsity Volleyball for three years and Varsity Soccer for two years. In the 1983-84 season, Rosemarie was named the College's All Round Female Athlete of the Year and Most Valuable Player for the Women's Soccer Team. In 1984-85, Rosemarie was the recipient of the Coaches Award for Volleyball and was selected the Most Valuable Player for the Women's Soccer Team. In her final season at Mohawk, Rosemarie received the Dr. Sam Mitminger Award for her excellence in athletics and academics and was further honoured with a Mohawk College Bronze Medal at Convocation.
