Fred Elbe

During Fred's four years at Mohawk College, Elbe was an integral member of three OCAA championship teams, Men's Volleyball in 1981 and 1982 and Touch Football in 1981. Fred was awarded the Men's Volleyball Coaches Award for the 1979-1980 season and the team's Most Valuable Player for the 1980-1981 season. In his final season, Fred was named All-Round Male Athlete of the Year and was named to the OCAA All-Star team for Volleyball. Fred's contribution to the Mohawk Athletic program did not end on the court, as Fred was the President of the Students' Athletics Committee for the 1981-1982 academic year.
