Jones to represent Ontario at national qualifying bonspiel
November 18, 2021In his 12-year curling career Jacob Jones has already accomplished a lot. The Brantford native won an OCAA silver medal in his first-year with the Mohawk Mountaineers in 2020, qualifying for the CCAA Championships. Prior to the collegiate-level, Jones was part of three OFSAA teams at North Park Collegiate and Vocational School, winning bronze in 2019. -
Introducing the 2021-2022 Curling Coaching Staff
August 17, 2021The return of Mountaineers curling is among the most anticipated returns following a silver medal in 2019-2020 and a pair of those athletes return to campus this upcoming season. Not only does head coach Betty Calic return two veterans in Jarrett Matthews and Jacob Jones, she brings back assistant Matt Kimber who first started on staff as a coach with the women’s curling program back in 2012-2013. -

With no competition over the past year, there has been extra emphasis on academic excellence and the Mountaineers were up for the challenge with over 50 per cent of this year’s athletes receiving All-Academic honours. -
