Brad McClure is another one of many new and exciting head coaches who are currently preparing for their first OCAA season with the Mohawk Mountaineers. McClure is a Hamiltonian himself and is extremely active in the local volleyball community.

The Mountaineers have announced the 2020-2021 All-Academic athletes which is highlighted by 35 student-athletes. With no competition over the past year, there has been extra emphasis on academic excellence and the Mountaineers were up for the challenge with over 50 per cent of this year’s athletes receiving All-Academic honours.
With the 2020-2021 OCAA season at a standstill, the Mountaineers had to get creative to keep athletes engaged during the school year while continuing to help them grow as athletes, student leaders and human beings. One of the solutions came in the form of the Mountaineers Student Athlete Leadership Program (MSALP). This program gives student-athletes the ability to interact with leaders in the community and sports world. The MSALP consisted of two components: a Speaker Series and an Education Series.
The new era of Mountaineers Athletics and Recreation is in full swing and with another school year looming in the distance, the Mountaineers have announced seven student-athletes who will makeup the inaugural Mountaineer Athlete Ambassadors (MAA) team.
