David Hopton was named the Mountaineers cross country head coach ahead of the 2021-22 season.
Prior to the start of his first campaign, Hopton had one returning athlete to the roster.
In his first year as the program coach, the Mountaineers men's team won a bronze medal at the OCAA Championships and the women's team placed fourth.
