Mohawk Mountaineers women's volleyball capped off their exhibition season with a three straight set victory over the Sheridan Bruins (25-13, 25-21, 25-18).

Head coach of the Mountaineers Matthew Schnarr was pleased with the performance.

"We got to start some players that really haven't had a chance to play all semester," Schnarr said. "I thought they played really well today."

Schnarr highlighted two girls in particular for their performance against the Bruins, Abby Sanders and Stephanie Karatsolias.

"Both girls are playing new positions this semester in their volleyball careers," Schnarr said. "They've both done a good job with showing up every night and they're really giving us something to look forward too."

Graze Mazur also had an impressive game, finishing the match with nine kills.

The Mountaineers are looking forward to their much deserved break from action. Schnarr highlighted that the team will use this break to reflect on their exhibition season and use it to better themselves so they can come back stronger than before in the new year.

Regular season action begins Jan. 7 for the Mountaineers on the road versus the Niagara Knights at 6 p.m.
