The Mountaineers women's volleyball team saw their win streak come to an end following a three set exhibition loss to the Humber Hawks (21-25, 21-25, 22-25).

"I think we struggled to play as a team today," said assistant coach Taylor Brisebois. "The athletes played with individual agendas and did not share information or work together as much as we need to in order to be successful."

During their three-game win streak the Mountaineers were focused on getting together as a unit and playing more as a team.

"I am happy with our overall level of play, but we need to be able to get out of tough situations faster," Brisebois said. "We will continue to focus on our side of the net but also understand the game plan to take advantage of the other team's weaknesses."

Despite the loss, the Mountaineers coaches were impressed with middle blocker Irene Jaramillo Restrepo's performance, highlighting that she was a force to be reckoned with.

Brisebois said that the team is learning new things every time they enter the gym, expanding on the thought that head coach Matt Schnarr previously mentioned about using every loss as a learning experience to become a better team.

"We can always get better and will continue to improve our game even throughout regular season," Brisebois said. "There's more in the tank."

The Mountaineers return to action in the DBARC on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. versus the Fanshawe Falcons.
