  • Taylor Brisebois named to the OCAA’s Coach 2 Coach – Mentorship Program

    Women’s volleyball assistant coach Taylor Brisebois has been named to the Coach 2 Coach – OCAA Mentorship Program. The OCAA Mentorship Program aids in the development of new coaches with “consistent 1-to-1 support, ongoing professional development, access to sport experts and peer network inclusion, all built around a dedicated learning framework.”

    Mountaineers Supervisor of Varsity & Community Engagement, Matthew Schnarr, who also doubles as the women’s volleyball head coach, was appointed this past week to Mohawk College’s Board of Governors.

    The Mountaineers have announced the 2020-2021 All-Academic athletes which is highlighted by 35 student-athletes. With no competition over the past year, there has been extra emphasis on academic excellence and the Mountaineers were up for the challenge with over 50 per cent of this year’s athletes receiving All-Academic honours.
  • Pasalic receives 2021 Indigenous Student Award

    Victoria Pasalic of the Women’s Volleyball team has won the Keepers of the FourDirections Award – South, at Mohawk’s 2021 Indigenous Awards ceremony this past month. The Keepers of the FourDirections Award is given to an Indigenous student who demonstrates academic success and personal growth in one of the four directions of the Medicine Wheel.
