Mohawk Mountaineers women's basketball will ride their three-game win streak into the playoffs as they head to Ottawa, ON to play the Algonquin Wolves on Feb. 25 in the OCAA qualifying round.

Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. and the game can be streamed on OCAA Live.

The Matchup:

The three-game win streak to end the 2022-23 season gave the Mountaineers a 5-11 record and the eighth seed in the OCAA West division. Mohawk's offense in the last three games has averaged 63.3 points.

Algonquin comes into the playoffs as the number one seed from the OCAA East division. They finished regular season play with an undefeated 14-0 record.

Playoff History:

A season ago Mohawk reached the OCAA quarterfinals, but have not medalled at the OCAAs since 2017-18.

Last season the Wolves were good enough to make the OCAA semifinals, but ultimately lost and played for a bronze medal. They weren't successful there either, but this is a program that won four consecutive OCAA Championships between 2010-2014.

Winner of this game will play the OCAA Championship tournament host Niagara Knights on March 3.
