Mountaineers women's basketball lost 68-54 to the Humber Hawks on the road.

Mohawk's Celina Chung had a double-double with a team-high 13 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overpower the Hawks.

Through the first 10 minutes of the contest Mohawk captured a five point lead, but were outscored in the second quarter 19-9. The Hawks would take a 33-28 advantage into halftime.

The Mountaineers came out of the locker room strong on defence, holding Humber to nine points to regain a three point lead.

The fourth quarter was a whole different story, however. The Hawks offense went on a scoring spree, dropping 26 points for the victory.

Donna-Marie Borja and Kayla Vanbeek came off the bench to score nine points each, and Tianna Stys added eight points and eight rebounds.

The Mountaineers return home to the DBARC on Nov. 20 when they take on the Sheridan Bruins at 2 p.m.
