Introducing the 2021-2022 Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff
August 04, 2021Since the 2013-2014 OCAA season, the Mountaineers women’s basketball program has claimed five OCAA medals, including three straight silver during that run. While this was a great stretch for the program, they didn’t claim a gold medal and new head coach Hali Burns enters her first season with the Mountaineers hunting for that first-place finish. -

Burns is as decorated as they come in regards to competing in the OCAA and found success at the national level while playing with Sheridan.

Mountaineers announce 2020-2021 All-Academic athletes
May 13, 2021The Mountaineers have announced the 2020-2021 All-Academic athletes which is highlighted by 35 student-athletes. With no competition over the past year, there has been extra emphasis on academic excellence and the Mountaineers were up for the challenge with over 50 per cent of this year’s athletes receiving All-Academic honours.

Lauren Snider receives 2021 Mountaineer Athlete Scholar Award
May 13, 2021Lauren Snider of the Women’s Basketball team has been named the recipient of the 2020-2021 Mountaineer Athlete Scholar Award. Snider, a Brantford native, completed her second and final year of the Community and Justice Services program where she excelled over the past year with a 98 percent average.

2019-2020 in Review: Women's Basketball
January 31, 2021The women's basketball team finished the 2019-2020 season with a record of 7-11 thanks to a dominant run in February which saw the them pick up four wins in their final six games.
