Mountaineers men's volleyball ended their exhibition season with a win after defeating the Sheridan Bruins 3-2.

The Mountaineers came out strong in the beginning of the match, winning the first two sets 25-18 and 25-22.

During the next two sets, the Bruins were able to find their footing to make the comeback, defeating the Mountaineers 22-25 and 24-26 to tie the match.

In an exciting fifth set, Mohawk made the comeback, ending their season on a high note by defeating the Bruins 15-12.

"Overall, I think we played really well tonight," assistant coach of the Mountaineers James Ellison said. "We were really consistent throughout the entire game."

Colin Prins caught the eye of the coaching staff, receiving high praise from Ellison.

"Colin came in and did a really good job," Ellison said.

Nathan Snippe led the way for Mohawk, completing 19 kills in five sets. Brayden Griffith was right behind him with 15 kills.

With the exhibition season coming to an end, the Mountaineers are looking forward to a well-deserved break.

"It'll be a good chance to rest and recharge our batteries," Ellison said. "Now it's time to get ready for our very busy schedule in the new year."
