Mountaineers men’s basketball announce major addition to 2023-24 roster

Jailen Jackson signs with Mohawk

HAMILTON, ON The Mohawk Mountaineers men's basketball program is excited to announce a major addition with 6'4 guard Jailen Jackon committing to the team for the 2023-24 season.

A local from Hamilton, ON, Jackson attended M.M. Robinson High School in Burlington, ON where he was the recipient of the team most valuable player award all four years.

Mountaineers head coach Jamie Girolametto praised Jackson's skillset, saying the sky is the limit for the guard.

"He will be a major problem in this league with his size, strength, athleticism and versatility," said Girolametto. "He has the ability to play every position and defend every position."

Most recently Jackson joined Burloak Prep Academy, where he received the opportunity to play against some of the best high school basketball players across Ontario.

Starting in September, Jackson will be studying Architectural Technology at Mohawk College.
