HAMILTON, ON – Mohawk Mountaineers men's basketball is thrilled to announce Anthony Ragonetti has committed to the program ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Ragonetti, a local from Hamilton, ON, becomes the second recruit under first-year head coach Jamie Girolametto.

"I'm super excited," Girolametto said. "With the core group that we have coming back and then adding Anthony and Charlie (Hennessy), things are shaping up really nicely."

Ragonetti will be attending Mohawk College in September after he graduates from Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary. He has also been playing club basketball for Newman Youth Basketball out of Stoney Creek, ON.

Girolametto described the six-foot guard as being athletic.

"I've been recruiting Anthony for awhile," Girolametto added. "He's an exciting player and he's a hard-nosed player which is a perfect fit for the model of basketball I want to bring to Mohawk."

Ragonetti will be studying in the Business program at Mohawk beginning this Fall.
