The Mountaineers men's basketball team fell 105-88 to the Humber Hawks in the opening round of the OCAA playoffs.

Despite being the lower seed, Mohawk kept it close in the first half and even led for a fair bit of the second quarter when they led by as much as seven.

Even with the strong play in the opening 20 minutes, the Mountaineers fell behind by six at the half.

The biggest difference was the third quarter as Humber outscored Mohawk 35-19 while shooting 50 per cent.

In the fourth quarter, Mohawk desperately tried to put together a comeback, scoring 30 points but it wasn't enough to overcome the large Humber lead.

The Mountaineers Daniel Graham (Hamilton, ON) led the team with 29 points on seven made three's. Deandre Goulbourne (Toronto, ON) contributed 17 points and Cale Calura (Hamilton, ON) came off the bench for 11.

Mohawk's 2021-22 season concludes with a 3-6 record and a tough loss in the OCAA Qualifying Round.
