The men's basketball team enjoyed a successful regular season which saw them finish with a winning record of 13-7, finishing as No. 4 seed in the West. Their .650 winning percentage was good enough to earn the Mountaineers a berth in the postseason, ting on Georgian College. The Grizzlies were the East's No. 4 seed and ultimately elimated the Mountaineers in the qualifying round by a score of 88-78. While Brian Jonker's squad finished a game shy of heading to the OCAA Championship tournament in Sarnia, there were several positives as it was a young team gaining experience in tight, competitive games against top competition. Two players, Daniel Graham and Steven Lemay, were named to the OCAA West All-Rookie Team.
