Mohawk Mountaineers women's softball is stepping up to the plate to provide pitching instructions to the softball community, while also searching for current students to join the roster.

On Sunday, January 15, the Mountaineer softball coaches along with current athletes will be providing a two-hour indoor pitching clinic for those that want to further their abilities at the position. The free session will be open to pitchers of all ages around the Hamilton community and beyond.

Pitchers will be required to bring their own catcher.

A campus tour will also be provided for those interested.

To coincide with the clinic, the team will also be hosting an athlete identification camp, which is open to all current Mohawk students who have softball or baseball experience and may wish to continue their playing careers. This is a great opportunity for interested athletes to meet the new coaching staff while getting in a light off-season workout.

The Mountaineers softball coaching staff, who will be running both sessions, combine for more than 100 years of softball coaching experience. To learn more about the Mountaineers softball coaching staff, visit the Mohawk Athletics website.

Both sessions will take place between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Jan. 15 at the Mohawk College Fennell Campus, David Braley Athletic and Recreation Gym 3.
