Fitness Programs

Mohawk Mountaineers Recreation is pleased to welcome back fitness programs. These programs are available to Mohawk College students, staff and faculty, as well as those with community memberships. No additional sign-up is required. Each class is limited to 12 particpants and all fitness levels are welcome.

Operation Bootcamp:

Operation Bootcamp is a type of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class that combines aerobic conditioning, strength training and speed elements. Experience an effective full body workout using your own bodyweight and dumbbells.

Certified instructor, Jeremy Robertson, is a current Health, Wellness and Fitness student at Mohawk College and Student Strength & Conditioning Coach with Mountaineers Athletics.

Body Combat:

Body Combat is a high-energy martial-arts inspired workout designed for those looking to learn the basic elements of boxing/kickboxing in a group setting. Build your cardiovascular endurance, relieve stress and improve your coordination in this class. Participants have the option of bringing their own gloves to this class.    

Certified instructor, Jeffrey Hastings, is a current Health, Wellness and Fitness student at Mohawk College and Student Strength & Conditioning Coach with Mountaineers Athletics.

Stretching Fundamentals:

Stretching Fundamentals is a recovery class aimed at improving your flexibility and mobility. Experience a combination of static and dynamic stretches to increase your range of motion, while reducing muscle tightness. This is ideal for when you are sore the day after your workout or just want a slower paced environment to destress. 

Certified instructor, Kaitlyn Dobinson-Dunne, is a current Health, Wellness and Fitness student who is passionate about helping others move around better.
