Sean Sydor joined Mohawk College in 2019 as a sessional counsellor and doubles down as the athletic counsellor. His education into the functions of humans goes deep as he graduated in 2004 from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Sociology, followed by his Masters of Education at the University of Toronto in Counselling Psychology where he graduated in 2010. Between those two stints in university, Sydor attended Georgian College for his post-graduate certificate in Addictions: Treatment and Prevention. 

Sydor worked for the Ontario Medical Association as a Clinical Coordinator for eight years following his graduation from the University of Toronto, a position he held until joining Mohawk in August 2019. Beyond his current work at the college, Sydor also works for Durand Integrated Health Group Inc. as a psychotherapist.
