Brittany Galan

Brittany Galan, a Hamilton native, joins the Mountaineers in the role of Athletic Therapist. She had previously worked with the Department of Athletics and Recreation in a role that provided varsity programs on-field coverage and concussion management. During that time she also worked with various amateur sports leagues.

Along with her previous work with the Mountaineers, Galan has been working in private practice since 2014, currently seeing clients out of The Wellness Collective in Hamilton. She is also a Red Cross Training Partner, First Aid and Emergency Care Instructor, and previously held the role of clinic manager at two multidisciplinary clinics in Hamilton from 2014 to 2017.

Galan's education background includes recently graduating from Sheridan College with high honours in Athletic Therapy, as well this past year she received a diploma from the Ontario College of Health & Technology in Massage Therapy. Galan also attended the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy where she graduated in 2014 with a diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Practice. In 2011, she graduated from McMaster University from the Kinesiology program.

Furthermore, Galan is a registered yoga teacher and plans to bring her experience in this field to Mohawk as a rehabilitation tool for the varsity athletes to complement the strength and conditioning programs.
