Mihai Raducannu became the ninth head coach in Mountaineers women's basketball's history in June 2022.

Raducanu is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Hamilton, ON and went on to play basketball at Coastal Carolina (NCAA Division I) and the Canadian National Junior Team.

He is also an adjunct professor at Canisius College (Buffalo, NY) where he teaches in two (2) different graduate-level programs - Sport Administration and Sport Product Development.
