HAMILTON, ON - The David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre (DBARC) Gymnasiums are set to reopen on July 18 following a floor resurfacing and redesign project and will officially introduce the new Mohawk Mountaineers logo.
Part of the resurfacing project included a fresh new multi-colour floor and repainted lines for both basketball and volleyball in the main gymnasium. Gym 3 floors have also been refurbished and repainted to include new lines for recreational activities.
The new logo featured in the middle of both the main gymnasium and gym 3 is the first step of a complete rebrand for the Department of Athletics and Recreation at Mohawk. We look forward to welcoming staff, students, athletes and community partners back to the new era of Mountaineers athletics.
DBARC gymnasium hours will return to facility summer hours aligned with the fitness centre:
- Monday to Friday – 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A strict rule will be implemented for indoor shoes to be worn on the gymnasium floors and will be forced by DBARC staff.
