Paige Epp of the Mohawk Mountaineers women's soccer team was named CCAA Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

This is the third honour this week for the fourth-year midfielder. Epp (Grimsby, ON) was also named Mountaineers Athlete of the Week and OCAA Star of the Week.

She is the second Mountaineer athlete to receive the three honours in a one-week span, joining teammate Samantha DeHaan (Smithville, ON) who achieved the feat back in September.

A NCAA Division I transfer, Epp was a star for the women's soccer team during their final two regular season games. In a 1-0 victory over the Sheridan Bruins, Epp had five shot attempts, three of which were dangerous attempts on net. Individually, Epp was able to control play which helped carry momentum for the Mountaineers.

In the final game of the season Epp recorded her first-ever OCAA goal in a 1-0 win versus the Fanshawe Falcons.

The Mountaineers finished the season 5-0-5 – the first undefeated season for the Mohawk program since 1998.

On October 22, the Mountaineers will host an OCAA crossover playoff game at 3 p.m. The match will be played St. John Henry Newman Catholic Secondary in Stoney Creek, ON.
