Mohawk Mountaineers are proud to announce Annie Sterenberg of cross country and Daniel Graham of men's basketball as the Athletes of the Week, in conjunction with the Mohawk Students' Association, for the week of Nov. 8 to 14.
Sterenberg has been the top female runner for the Mountaineers for the 2021/22 season and continued her success at the CCAA Championships. Out of 97 runners the first-year student-athlete placed 26th with a time of 25:29 at nationals.
Graham continues to be a top scorer for the Mountaineers. The second-year guard from Hamilton put up a career-high 39 points on nearly 60 per cent shooting from the field versus the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers on route to Mohawk's 103-95 win. In addition to scoring, Graham added eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
The Mountaineers Athletes of the Week is an initiative put together by Mohawk's athletics and recreation department and the MSA.
