Mohawk Mountaineers women's basketball head on the road for two-games in three days, beginning with a matchup against the Conestoga Condors on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The game will be available to stream online through OCAA Live.
The Matchup:
The Mountaineers are down to their final six games of the season and are hoping to turn things around. Mohawk has lost four of their last five, including their first two to begin the second half of the 2022-23 season.
Conestoga has found themselves on a two-game win streak after beginning the second half of the year with a 32-point loss. Their record sits at 5-6, three wins better than Mohawk, so a win for the Mountaineers tonight could bring them closer to potentially clinching a higher seed before conference playoffs begin.
What Happened Last Time:
A November 19 game saw the Condors defeat the Mountaineers 89-73.
Alina Dineley (Grand Valley, ON) played well in that contest, scoring 12 points and adding seven assists.

Conestoga had all five starters finish with double digits as they all played 35 or more minutes.
Who to Watch For:
Celina Chung (Toronto, ON), a 2021-22 OCAA All-Rookie Team recipient, has started to find her game over the last two for the Mountaineers. The second-year is averaging 11.5 points on 58.3 per cent shooting. Chung has also grabbed 10 rebounds in the last two games.
Yasmeen Smith will be the player Mohawk will need to focus on shutting down as the guard is averaging an OCAA-best 21.2 points per game and is fifth best with 10.7 rebounds per game.
