Brian Jonker is preparing for his 17th season at the helm of the Men’s Basketball program and he does so with a trio of coaches who have been with him since 2009.
The Mountaineers have announced the 2020-2021 All-Academic athletes which is highlighted by 35 student-athletes. With no competition over the past year, there has been extra emphasis on academic excellence and the Mountaineers were up for the challenge with over 50 per cent of this year’s athletes receiving All-Academic honours.

The new era of Mountaineers Athletics and Recreation is in full swing and with another school year looming in the distance, the Mountaineers have announced seven student-athletes who will makeup the inaugural Mountaineer Athlete Ambassadors (MAA) team.
It was a pleasure to honour and highlight all 14 of the Mountaineers graduating athletes over the past three weeks. This crop of players all endured a college experience far different than any other graduating class with the current landscape of college athletics during the pandemic.
The men's basketball team enjoyed a successful regular season which saw them finish with a winning record of 13-7 and they closed out the year as the 4 seed in the West.
