Ray Williams begins her first year as the varsity academic coach. Prior to joining the Mountaineers athletic staff, Williams served as an Athletic Academic Advisor at Florida A&M University where she was responsible for facilitating the academic success and eligibility for the varsity program.
Williams served as an assistant coach for the UTM women’s basketball program from 2017-2020 and had a two-year stint with the Georgia Southern women's basketball program as a graduate assistant.
She served as an assistant basketball coach for the Brampton Warriors for the 2012-2013 season and taught with the Peel District School Board.
Williams was a four-year letter winner at the University of New Hampshire where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
Williams played professionally in Denmark from 2008 to 2009 before returning to her native, Canada.
Williams has a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Toronto, OISE and a Master's in Social Science from Georgia Southern University. She is excited to bring her passion for academics and athlete development to the program, supporting student-athletes both in the classroom and in their sport.
